Did You Know?

Interesting facts and trivia about Odio (feat. Drake). By Songfacts®.

The first single from Bachita singer Romeo Santos' Formula, Vol. 2 album is a song about jealousy - "Odio" is Spanish for hatred.

The song features Drake, who contributes two verses: one where he's singing in Spanish about his love of a woman who is clearly taken, and then a rap in English where he continues to pine for her.

Drake shouted out Santos' New York based boyband Aventura on the opening lyrics to his 2011 hit single "The Motto." "I'm the f---in' man, y'all don't get it do you Type of money everybody actin' like they knew ya. Go Uptown, New York City bitch, those Spanish girls love me like I'm Aventura. Tell Uncle Luke I'm out in Miami, too." That lyric may also refer to the Aventura neighborhood in North Dade (Miami). It has one of the biggest malls in the world, and is popular with Spanish-speaking women.
