This confessional R&B ballad is one of several songs on the record where she focuses primarily on dealing with personal baggage. Grande wrote the song with: Songwriting partners Victoria Monet and Tayla Parx, who were two of the friends that she bought matching rings for in the song "7 Rings." Los Angeles-based producer Tommy "TBHits" Brown, who has worked with Grande since her 2013 debut, Yours Truly.
