Did You Know?

Interesting facts and trivia about False Alarm. By Songfacts®.

This punky dance noir tune finds The Weeknd singing about a woman in high heels who is obsessed with fame and material goods. She chases hearts, but is totally unavailable to the men who pursue her, as she driven by her desire for more diamonds and rings. Anyone who thinks she loves them should be warned that it is a "False Alarm."

"False Alarm" could also be considered a sequel to The Weeknd's Lemonade cut with Beyoncé "6 Inch," a song with similar imagery of six-inch heels and dollar bills.

The violent music video documents a high-stakes bank heist filmed from the point of view of a gun-toting bank robber. The visual was directed by Ilya Naishuller, who also shot Hardcore Henry, a 2016 action movie also filmed entirely in a first person perspective.
