The Chainsmokers pay tribute to rapper Kanye West on this anthemic EDM ode to self-empowerment. The song is about following your own path and living life on your own terms. "It's about just owning it no matter what you're doing," the duo's Alex Pall told Buzzfeed. He added that Kanye should be thought of as an adjective, not a noun. "Whether you're on top of the world partying in a penthouse or you're driving an old car playing your favorite song," Pall explained, "it's about enjoying the moment you're in and feeling like you're the king."

The song features a shout-along female chorus by LA singer-songwriter duo Siren.
