Love Like Crazy

This is the lead single and title track from American country music artist Lee Brice's debut studio album. It was Brice's first chart entry as a solo artist though he had already achieved success as a songwriter co-writing several hits such as Garth Brook's "More Than a Memory," and Tim McGraw's "Still."

The song describes a husband and wife's long and happy relationship. Brice told Country Weekly that this Tim James and Doug Johnson written tune reminded him of his own family: "When I first heard 'Love Like Crazy,' it made me think of my grandparents," said Brice. "My grandparents lived this song and I knew immediately that I had to record it."

This song climbed into the Top 20 in its 40th week on the Country charts. In doing so the track broke the record for the longest trip into the chart's Top 20, passing Josh Turner's "Long Black Train" 35 week ascent in 2003-04. In a "crazy" co-incidence, Josh Gracin's "We Weren't Crazy," shares the record with Gary Allan's "Right Where I Need to Be" for the longest wait until logging top 10 status. It took 40 weeks to reach the top tier.
Six weeks later "Love Like Crazy" entered the Top 10 in its 46th week. In doing so it eclipsed the record slow climbs of Allan's and Gracin's tunes.
"More Than a Memory" was the first single to debut at #1 on Billboard's Hot Country Songs chart. So Brice can claim the distinction of contributing to both the fastest-rising and slowest-rising country singles in history.
