Loyle Carner honed his rapping talent writing poetry at school, but it wasn't until he hooked up with producer Rebel Clef, whom the MC calls Krispy, that things really fell into place. This song recounts how Carner's friendship with Rebel Clef was torn apart by money and the MC's success. Now two best friends, who shared the torch barely talk And if we do its mostly money not remorse And yo I know theirs nothing funny bout divorce "We've worked together since my first EP," Carner told The Independent. "I'm the youngest out of the friends I started making music with so it's weird for me to become the boss and we all struggled with it. But it's still a slow process."
