Angelique Meunier is an Australian DJ, singer and dancer, who records under the name of Havana Brown. She started as a DJ performing at small venues around Melbourne and worked with promoters around her home country. In 2008, a boss of Island Records Australia approached Brown, asking her if she was interested in doing a compilation album. She signed with the label and released her first Crave album featuring remixes of songs from other artists in November of that year. This was Brown's first single as a recording artist.
This was written and produced by Australian singer-songwriter Cassie Davis and American rapper, producer and musician Snob Scrilla. The duo formed the production group More Mega in 2011.
The song reached #5 on the Australian ARIA Singles Chart and earned Brown two ARIA Music Award nominations for Breakthrough Artist Single and Highest Selling Single.
