BED

"BED" is a bright and bouncy piano-house track featuring yearning vocals by the London-based singer-songwriter Raye. I got a bed, but I'd rather be in yours That's what I say when I call you on the phone tonight Raye is feeling lonely and in need of some loving. She is forward in making it clear to the guy she wants to spend the night in his bed.

Joel Corry, Raye and the French dance-music producer David Guetta are all credited as the principal artists. Corry explained to Official Charts Company the track originated as an idea that Raye and Guetta came up with. Later, during a summer 2020 studio session with frequent Jess Glynne collaborator Janée "Jin Jin" Bennett, Corry was listening to demos recorded by Raye. After hearing "BED," he was drawn to it and contacted Guetta, who was happy for him to work on the tune with Raye. The pair hit the studio together and developed the rest of the song. The three announced the release of the single on February 26, 2021, with each artist posting a picture of them lying in bed.

This marks the first time the three artists have worked together. Raye and David Guetta previously collaborated on the 2019 singles "Make It to Heaven" and "Stay (Don't Go Away)." Also Guetta remixed Corry's "Head And Heart" single under his underground Jack Black alias. Jin Jin, who is credited as a co-writer, has worked with Raye on several previous occasions, including her "Love Me Again" single and Jax Jones collaboration, "You Don't Know Me."
