Here, Lecrae is feeling trapped with the weight of all his problems. Such is his despair and heartache, the rapper has resorted to alcohol. Down to the bottom, all these problems got me drinkin' Might drown in this bottle, all this drama got me thinkin Lecrae's drinking has only added to his anguish; now he's feeling ashamed as well. He turns to God, pleading for His help. Come save me Come save me 'Cause I've been in way over my head lately Shame got me sinkin' Goin' off the deep end
Lecrae explained the meaning of the song in a behind-the-scenes of the video clip: "The dark side of feeling like man I'm just overwhelmed, and you know whether that's a friend or God specifically who you're leaning on in that moment. Or maybe that's you know you're just recognizing that you're alone and you're like, 'Yo, I'm alone and I need help,' that consistency, this song is for you."
On the hook, this features John Legend, who cries to God to help him stay afloat. Lecrae explained to Apple Music that as soon as Legend heard the track, he wanted it for his own album, but the rapper responded, "Nah, John, come on, man. Be a part of this one."
