Did You Know?

Interesting facts and trivia about Graveyard. By Songfacts®.

This ode to not being dead finds Feist singing of matters of mortality. During the making of Metals, the Canadian songstress lost both her maternal grandmother and the uncle who gave her her beloved red Guild Starfire guitar. "Bring 'em all back to life!," Feist and a group of women sing in the song's chorus, as an act of remembrance for her late loved ones. "Any time there's a family member in the audience, it's almost impossible for me to sing that song," she told Mojo magazine before a gig at Stockholm. "When my dad first saw Metals played live, he came up to me afterwards and said, 'But what if they all did come to life? I think he was thinking of all the people he'd lost since he was about five."
