Many of the songs on Sam Hunt's debut album, Montevallo were inspired by his breakup with girlfriend Hannah Lee Fowler. This candid tune acts as apology to his muse. I'm sorry I named the album 'Montevallo' And I'm sorry people know your name now Montevallo is Hannah's home town. When fans discovered that the album was about her, she felt like it was an intrusion of her privacy as she started getting a lot of attention on social media.
"Break Up In A Small Town", "Make You Miss Me" and "Take Your Time" were all hit singles inspired by Hannah. Here, Hunt apologises to her as now she "can't listen to the radio."
Hunt and Fowler subsequently got back together again. The former college football quarterback dropped this song right at the start of 2017 and also announced that they'd got engaged.
