This EDM-leaning ballad is the closing track on Bangerz, an album that finds Miley Cyrus bidding farewell to her sanitized teen-pop past. She explained to MTV News that the long player tells the story of her evolution into, "someone else" and this song is one of the most telling. "If you keep listening to it, you can keep seeing where I change. And it's a real story and a real growing," she said, adding, "I feel like I got to where I finally was on 'Someone Else,' which was the end of the record. I've turned into someone else. That's what I mean about it kind of being like a story. I kind of all did it in that time."
