Manchester-based Algerian drum & bass artist Bou emerged from the depths of the Northern free party scene with an insatiable hunger for the genre. Immersing himself in the relentless beats and irresistible energy of drum & bass subgenre UK jump-up, he established himself as a force to be reckoned with. Released by Island Records on May 5, 2023, "Closer" marks Bou's arrival on the major label scene. The release follows a string of singles on Bou's own Gossip label, as well as collaborations with DnB Allstars and Souped Up Records.
