Bury That (feat. Jon Bibbs)

This is a track from Hear Ye Him, the debut solo studio album by American rapper No Malice. It was produced by the Virginia production team known as Profound Sounds and features the Richmond Soul singer John Bibbs on the hook.

The song's hook ends with the lines: "Chasin' that American dream But life ain't always what it seems So I had to bury that." No Malice explained to Rap Genius: "To me the American dream can be a hoax. You can chase it, achieve it, only to realize it can lead to more problems. The first thing you need is an unwavering foundation. Then and only then can you begin to build. For me, God is that absolute! Jesus Christ the same yesterday and today and forever.-Hebrews 13:8."
