Did You Know?

Interesting facts and trivia about Drive Me Wild. By Songfacts®.

XCerts frontman Murray Macleod told Kerrang this is a song about feeling imprisoned by desire. "I thought it was funny how I once used the title as a term of endearment and then used it negatively in regards to the same person," he said.

The Springsteen-esque anthem features an instrumental contribution by Will Gardner from English progressive rock band Black Peaks. MacLeod said: "We knew from the off the song had to feature a saxophone! We wanted sex appeal, so we got Will from Black Peaks down to the studio and let him shred. Even though the song very much wears its Tom Petty influence on its sleeve we also had to tip the cap to Clarence Clemons from Bruce Springsteen's E Street Band."
