This gospel tinged ballad features the harmonies of The London Community Gospel Choir.
A tempestuous long-term relationship that singer Elly Jackson was involved in provided much of the material for La Roux. This song finds Jackson reflecting on the heartbreak of that on-off relationship. She told the Metro newspaper: "It wasn't the best four years of my life but I had a brilliant time making the music. It was about being brave enough to write down things that I wouldn't have been able to before."
