He also sings of the girl getting "richer on the pole", so we can assume she's a stripper who has caught his eye. Got up, thank the Lord for the day Woke up by a girl, I don't even know her name The Weeknd unwillingness to commit to a relationship is demonstrated by the fact that he neglected to ask the stripper her name.
The song features additional ethereal vocals from Lana Del Rey, whose repeated cries of the word "paranoid," further illustrates how The Weeknd is wary of committing himself to any of the women he encounters.
Del Rey also guests on another Starboy track "Stargirl Interlude" having previously duetted with him on the Beauty Behind The Madness cut "Prisoner."
