"Bleed" is an emotionally charged ballad that lays bare Kid Laroi's emotional turmoil as he grapples with the lingering pain of his ex's departure. While his former lover seems to have seamlessly moved on, Laroi is left wrestling with an unhealed wound, his heart still bleeding from the loss.

Kid Laroi co-wrote and co-produced "Bleed" with three of his go-to collaborators: Blake Slatkin, Omer Fedi, and Billy Walsh. Israeli Omer Fedi and Californian Blake Slatkin are the duo behind hits like 24kgoldn's "Mood," The Kid Laroi's "Stay" and Sam Smith's "Unholy," all chart-toppers in the US. American songwriter Billy Walsh is also Post Malone's regular songwriting partner. His other credits include 5 Seconds of Summer's "Old Me," Camila Cabello's "Real Friends" and Calvin Harris and The Weeknd's "Over Now."

Laroi let us know about the song in November 2022 when he tweeted, "I have a song called 'BLEED' and it may be my favorite song I've ever made." He released it as the sixth single off his debut studio album, The First Time on November 3, 2023.
