Did You Know?

Interesting facts and trivia about Gravedancer. By Songfacts®.

It would seem this song simply refers to a couple's unfortunate experiences with drug culture, with the women being perhaps the greater abuser and bringing more stress to her man when they are using.

When Scott Weiland joined Velvet Revolver, he was still using drugs. The group was comprised of former addicts - Matt Sorum, Dave Kushner and Duff McKagan - who had years of sobriety under their belts, so Weiland knew they would understand his condition. His bandmates did offer support, but Weiland wasn't able to kick his habit and he split from the band in 2008.
