Born in Leeds, England, DJ and producer Paul Woolford started a weekly residency at Space in Ibiza in 2008. He built up his following with clubbers by touring to play guest spots outside his residency. Woolford also uses aliases Bobby Peru and Special Request, such as on his album Paul Woolford Presents Bobby Peru - The Truth.
