Busted's debut single is a pop-punk ditty about fancying a teacher called Miss McKenzie. It was later revealed that the inspiration for the lyrics was band member Matt Willis' former dance teacher Michelle Blair, when he attended the Sylvia Young theatre school.
Speaking to the BBC, Michelle Blair said the lyrics use a slice of artistic license. "For instance, he talks about dropping a pencil and she picks it up, but it was a dance class I taught so there were no pencils," she said. "But when they sing about coming to the front of class to see my bum," Michelle added, "then that could have happened - as we were in dance outfits."
Model Lorna Roberts plays Miss McKenzie, the object of the band's desire, in the song's music video. Look out for a 14-year-old Jade Ewen, who later represented the UK in the Eurovision Song Contest. She appears in the clip playing a schoolgirl.
