Jack The Ripper was a notorious British serial killer who murdered and butchered prostitutes in the 1880s. He was never caught and his identity was never determined.
Morrissey wrote this song with his guitarist Boz Boorer. The song seems to be a dialogue between Jack The Ripper and one of his victims.
Morrissey never recorded this song, but he did play it in concert and included live cuts on various compilation album. The song was first released on the B-side to Morrissey's single "Certain People I Know."
