Evergreen

Richy Mitch & The Coal Miners is a folk-rock group from Colorado Springs, Colorado. They released their self-titled album on May 17, 2017, the day the band graduated from high school. This is the opening track from the record.

Comprising just two short verses, frontman Mitch Cutts ponders being at a crossroads. The first verse describes being in a stalemate, not knowing which option to turn to. In the second verse, he realizes he doesn't need a specific reason not to do something and resolves to follow his heart.

The word "evergreen" doesn't appear in the lyrics, but it symbolizes hope, growth, or resilience in the face of adversity.
