The song features a children's choir singing the refrain. Wounded egos Right-wing psychos It was Coombes' friend the producer Ian Davenport (Supergrass, Badly Drawn Boy, Stereophonics), who recorded the children's voices at his own kids' school.

Coombes told the BBC that the children's chorus was partly inspired by Pink Floyd's "Another Brick In The Wall (part II)," on which the children sing: We don't need no education We don't need no thought control "I thought it was beautiful for the kids to sing that lyric commenting on the problem of extremism but presented in more of a musical way," he said. "I'm not an expert on the nature of extremism, but like hey teacher, leave those kids alone, when they sing something you don't expect, it's quite a cool and strong message, don't stand for those people who are going to try and walk all over you."
