This torch song finds Drake talking to one of his pre-fame loves and acknowledging his impact on her. There is still plenty of affection between the pair and he insists that she can't replace him no matter what she tries: "May angels protect and heaven protect you," he croons.
Speaking with Google Music, Drake explained how he tries to get into the minds of women with his songs. Said the Toronto-born singer/rapper: "Women buy records, women fall in love with music and they listen to it when they fall asleep, and it moves them. I have a fascination in getting into the minds of women and truly letting them know how I think as a man – and letting them know how I view them as women. That should appeal to men as well."
