The origins of this song lie in one of the first-ever jams that Kula Shaker played when the band were still teenagers. Vocalist Crispian Mills recalled to Artist Direct: "The first people we ever played that for were all living in teepees and we were playing it at a free festival in some muddy field in England." "We thought we'd start off with one that took us right back to the beginning, and then start telling the story from that point," he added. "It's actually kind of a Native American chant that we tailored for the Kula Shaker sound."
