With this sexy urban jam, Liam Payne became the final member of One Direction to release solo material - the song was issued on May 19, 2017. Recorded at Rokstone Studios in London, the track features Quavo - a founding member of the US hip-hop group Migos.
Liam Payne co-wrote the song with Ed Sheeran. The carrot-topped singer-songwriter has previously penned several songs for One Direction, including the Take Me Home tracks "Little Things" and "Over Again," as well as "18" from their Four album. The collaboration was sparked by an unexpected call from Sheeran in the late summer of 2016. "I was in a gym in LA, and I got a call that said 'You have to get to London now,'" Payne recalled to Billboard magazine. "And we had literally just gotten to L.A., so we U-turned straight back to London — which of course you do for Mr. Ed Sheeran, because I'd do anything for the man. We went in, sat around and discussed a bunch of things about life, and [the song] basically just came together."
Pop producer Steve Mac co-wrote the song and was also the guy behind the mixing desk. He previously worked with Ed Sheeran on the latter's smash hit "Shape Of You."
