Alex Gaskarth explained the song's meaning to Kerrang! as "A big middle finger to anyone that's f--ked us over in the past," adding, "There's parts about our relationships. We've always tried to keep it positive and we've seen it pay off. So it's a message to anyone who thinks screwing people out there is a way to get what you want."
