Chaelin Lee is a South Korean singer, songwriter and rapper who performs under the stage name of CL. This song is the K-pop superstar's first solo track to be released entirely in English; she previously made guest appearances on the English language tracks "Doctor Pepper" by Diplo and "Dirty Vibe" by Skrillex.
CL wrote the song with rapper Asher Roth, and South Korean producer Teddy Park, with the production being handled by the latter.
The song marked CL's first-ever entry on the Billboard Hot 100 as the lead artist. The Seoul native previously featured on PSY's "Daddy," which peaked at #97 in December 2015.
