The track is from A Different Shade of Blue, which is Knocked Loose's second album and their follow-up to their debut set Laugh Tracks. The album title is taken from one of this song's lyrics where Garris describes feeling an emotion he's never experienced before. I don't know how to feel This is a different shade of blue Garris explained why to Kerrang: "People use the word 'blue' as a metaphor for being sad, like 'feeling blue.' And Laugh Tracks was a very big record for us, and people heard a lot of things about us for the first time, and that was my first time really expressing all these personal things about myself. So this is just a different approach to that – it's a different shade of blue."
