Doja Cat recorded this uptempo clapback at her haters for the Birds of Prey soundtrack Birds of Prey: The Album. The rapper plays off the bad girl swagger of the film's protagonist Harley Quinn, a frequent accomplice and lover of the Joker.
Doja Cat wrote the song with Ashnikko. The female rapper is best known for her 2019 song "Stupid," which became a hit after going viral on the video-sharing platform TikTok.
Doja Cat told Coup de Main Ashnikko wrote the first verse and she the second, during which she attempted to incorporate some vulnerability. "I just write the first thing that comes to mind that sounds best," she explained, "I don't know if I'm being so vulnerable. I mean, that whole song is kind of an aggressive and fierce kind of feel. So I'm not sure exactly where the vulnerability would come in on that particular song."
