The song was released as the lead single from the project. "'I'm Blessed' says exactly where I am in my life, blessed to still be making music that people want to hear," said the former Gap Band frontman. "2016 has been a tough year for so many people around the world and I am proud to release a song that reminds us that we can all find some blessings in our lives."
The song features a guest verse by T.I. in which he shares how his journey is filled with God's blessings.
The song was Charlie Wilson's first entry on Billboard's Hot Gospel Songs chart, and it climbed all the way to the top.
