Nothing But Thieves is an English 5-piece rock band from Southend-on-Sea in Essex. Formed in 2012, the group consists of vocalist Conor Mason, guitarists Joe Langridge-Brown and Dominic Craik, bass player Philip Blake and drummer James Price. This is a single from their eponymous debut longplayer, which entered the UK album chart at #7. The song picked up Hottest Record and Track Of The Day accolades on BBC Radio 1.
The song finds Conor Mason itching to feel something in an increasingly desensitised world. He told The Sun about the track: "I wanted to do something rocky and upbeat. That is what we grew up listening to and Joe wanted to put in more of a (Jeff) Buckley vibe." "That riff and bridge we just jammed out and it's actually quite a simple song structurally and it came together quickly."
