Frances penned this tune in LA with songwriter Greg Kurstin, who co-wrote Adele's smash-hit single "Hello." She recalled to Digital Spy: "He's got two sweet little dogs who hop into the studio and lives in the most amazing part of LA where you can just stand outside and see everything. He got stuff out of me that I would never have done on my own. I was sat in the chair recording my vocals thinking, 'Oh my god, Adele was here a couple of months ago.' But he's so down to earth."
Asked by The Sun to explain the song's meaning, Frances replied: "I wanted to write a song that summed up the feeling when you just want to hear 'I love you' one more time. I think everyone has felt that at some time in their lives."
