Plan B debuted this confrontational track on the March 8, 2018 episode of Annie Mac's BBC Radio 1 show. If you thought I was coming to pretend Guess again If you thought I wasn't gonna represent my ends to the very bitter end Plan B told Annie Mac the song was his opportunity to address Brexit: "My voice had been absent while certain things were going on the country, but I didn't just want to speak my mind because I'm older now and I didn't want it to be a reaction," he said. "I want to be able to consider what it is that I'm saying, to understand what I'm talking about and not just be brash. My issue is not with anyone who voted leave or remain... everybody was uninformed." "This song's not about trying to alienate anyone for voting but it is about alienating the political system," Plan B added. "Never again should we be made to make a decision as big as that without making sure everybody understands it."
