The closing track on No One Ever Really Dies is an encouragement to all those weighed down by the comments made by haters. Pharrell Williams told Zane Lowe in an album listening session: "This 11th song is called 'Lifting You' and really is just like, people talk s--t about you, everybody in this room has had somebody talk s--t about you. You may or may not have realized that when they're talking about you, you must f---ing matter. It occurred to us that when they say your name they're actually lifting you. So that's the name of the song, it's called 'Lifting You.' Go turbo."

Ed Sheeran croons the hook. Pharrell Williams previously collaborated with the English singer-songwriter when he co-produced his 2014 single "Sing."
