Interesting facts and trivia about Vegas Lights. By Songfacts®.

Much of Too Weird To Live, Too Rare To Die! is an ode to Panic At The Disco's Las Vegas roots. If vocalist Brendon Urie has his way, this song could end up being the anthem for Sin City. "There are quite a few songs that are very personal, about things I've been through with different people in my life. But mostly, it's about being back in Las Vegas," he told MTV News. "There's actually a song called 'Vegas Lights,' which I wanted to be an anthem for Vegas that represented how I felt when I went to the clubs. I felt this weird energy where everybody was having a good time, and it didn't matter. Dancing like nobody's watching. It was kind of beautiful."

Here are some more songs on our database that were inspired by Las Vegas: "Waking Up In Vegas" by Katy Perry. "Pretty Vegas" by INXS. "Viva Las Vegas" by Elvis Presley. "Welcome to Fabulous Las Vegas" by Brandon Flowers. "Elvis In Vegas" by Meat Loaf. "Don't Wanna Think" by Kristine W.

The Too Weird to Live, Too Rare to Die record takes its name from a Hunter S. Thompson quote and the concepts from the Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas' author's muse. "Las Vegas is a big character in this album," Urie told Billboard magazine. "I came back to the city that I grew up in and for some reason made me so bitter when I was 17. It was cathartic."
