Did You Know?

Interesting facts and trivia about Always Where I Need To Be. By Songfacts®.

Frontman Luke Pritchard (from The Sun April 4, 2008): "A song about a girl you meet who's cool but it doesn't click. Then they really like you but then you're not interested."

Konk was named after the studio in London's Crouch End (owned by Ray Davies of The Kinks) in which the album was made. Pritchard explained to the New Musical Express: "Hugh (Guitarist Hugh Harris) said, 'Why don't we call it the studio name?' And we thought 'The Kooks-Konk' sounded right."

Pritchard told the Daily Mail April 11, 2008: "This is a transition song between the first and second albums. That's why we picked it as a single."
