A track from Wolfmother's third album New Crown, "Heavy Weight" finds lead singer Andrew Stockdale in a contemplative mood. "It's a bit more of a depressive, melancholy perspective," he said in his Songfacts interview. "The heavy weight of responsibility and accountability."

Fittingly, this song is built around a very heavy guitar riff, which was by design. "That song is just opening up and being a bit real," Stockdale told us. "Add in the riffs and the heaviness, and in some ways, people can relate to that."
