On April 24, 2000, 50 Cent was shot nine times by a gunman outside his grandmother's former home in his South Jamaica, Queens neighborhood. The bullets hit his hand, arm, hip, both legs, chest and left cheek, shattering his right femur. In this song the rapper relives that fateful day and other painful moments in his life.

The song served as soundtrack music for the Season 2 finale of the Starz Network show, POWER, where 50 plays the recurring role of Kanan.

The Eif Rivera-directed video features 50s G-Unit associates Tony Yayo and Lloyd Bank in a story of an attempt to reclaim money with deadly consequences. The clip was filmed on the gritty streets of the rapper's hometown of Queens, New York.
