Abel "The Weeknd" Tesfaye dropped out of high school at the age of 17 and moved to downtown Toronto along with his friend Lamar Taylor to pursue music. He takes a poke here at the "losers" who stayed in school, rather than experiencing life and pursuing their dreams.
The song features Labrinth, who is Timothy McKenzie, an English dance/hip-hop singer and producer that is best known for his UK #1 and US Top 40 hit "Beneath Your Beautiful."
