Frontman Harry McVeigh told The Independent January 16, 2009 that this song is "about an escape from those dark feelings."

The words that lyricist/bassist Charles Cave writes for McVeigh to sing are generally full of doom and gloom. The line "There's no place like home," in this song seems on the face of it, more hopeful than most. However Cave admitted to The Independent that it "is meant to be sarcastic."
