Bassist James Johnston told XFM radio about this song, which concerns misplaced trust: "It's pure Pop perfection, we really wanted a song that was really bouncy and in its essence a real Pop song. Its simplicity is what makes it a great song, everyone can sing along to it. I think that's what makes us interesting as a band, the ability to explore different types of music. It's miles away from our last single ['Machines'] and hopefully people will enjoy it for exactly that reason."

The CD B-side of the song's single release featured an acoustic interpretation of Rihanna's "Umbrella," taken from their session for the Jo Whiley Live Lounge on BBC Radio 1.

The director Tim Mattia told the New Musical Express January 19, 2008 about the video: "It wasn't a high-concept video, we just wanted to capture them in a moment of time. 2007 was Biffy's biggest year so far - the album's done amazingly well and they've been everywhere - so the idea was just to film them on their victory lap. The gig was at Brixton Academy and there was a real 'I was there' kind of atmosphere. I think all the front row had 'Mon The Biffy' written on their faces in marker. I was with the band for the whole gig and I noticed how ritualistic they are, especially before they go onstage. They practice their singing together and there's a lot of hugging too. They're obviously very close as people and I think that bond is part of why they're such a good band."
