Interesting facts and trivia about Long & Lost. By Songfacts®.

The previous track on How Big, How Blue, How Beautiful, "Delilah," found Florence Welch anxiously awaiting a call from her lover that never arrived. This song finds the English songstress worrying if he will welcome her back when she returns home from LA. Welch penned the track with American songwriter Ester Dean, who has co-written many of Rihanna's hits, including "Rude Boy" and "What's My Name." Her other credits include Katy Perry's "Firework" and David Guetta's "Hey Mama."

The two-part video for this song features both this track and "Queen of Peace." The clip was shot on the small Scottish island of Easdale in the Inner Hebrides, which has a population of less than 100 and an area of just 62 acres. it ends with Welch being shipped off the isle. Director Vincent Haycock recalled: "The end of the video was done in a single take at the very last seconds of light during a stormy barge ride on a freezing sea. The effort and focus on both the actors and crew was so amazing."
