Kelly likens his sexual appetite to an insatiable sweet tooth on this oral sex serenade. The song was released as the third single from Black Panties, which was seen as a return to the R&B singer's early sex obsessed work. Kelly describes himself as a "Cookie Monster," on this cut, but not in a way that the late Jim Henson would approve. We hear him bragging about beating the pu--y up "until its blue," amongst other violent metaphors that describe his lovemaking.

Kelly explained to The Boombox that the album title came from his freaky fans' underwear. "When I was [onstage] singing 'Seems Like You're Ready,' on my Love Letter tour, the panties was flying and coming up on the stage and out of no where," he said. "I think it was a pair of mediums that landed on my wrist and my microphone. Immediately I had an idea to write a song called 'Black Panties' because it was a pair of black panties, lace-like. When I got back home, I wrote [the] song and then I just decided to do a whole album called 'Black Panties.' I never steered away from the name."
