Sheeran spent most of his childhood years in the small town of Framlingham in Eastern England. He moved to London at the age of 17 to pursue a music career, where he started off in very small venues, playing every day to at times as little as five people. This song deals with his experience of moving from his provincial hometown to the bright lights of England's capital city.
