American rapper Cardi B and Puerto Rican Latin trap star Myke Towers join Anitta on this provocatively rhythmical single. The song title translates to "I Like You."
Anitta and Cardi B switch between English and Spanish in their verses. Cardi portrays her alter-ego "La Caldi" and says she moves her waist like Shakira. There's a second link to the Colombian superstar as she also released a song titled "Me Gusta" in 2020.
Anitta revealed to NME that it was her manager who secured the Cardi B feature and it was a total surprise for her. "I didn't know about anything - not even the possibility," she recalled. "He called me by Zoom and said: 'Oh, let's approve the mix of the song.' He played it for me and I was listening, and then [Cardi's] voice dropped. And I was like: 'Aaaagh, what?!' It was amazing!" "I've been in the studio with her but we hadn't had the chance to record together," Anitta added. "I love her on this track so much."
