The British 7 piece teen band S Club 7 was created in 1999 by former Spice Girls manager Simon Fuller. They were Bradley McIntosh, Hannah Spearritt, Jon Lee, Jo O'Meara, Paul Cattermole, Rachel Stevens, and Tina Barrett.Apart from recording 11 UK Top 5 singles, including 3 #1s, and the US Top Ten hit "Never Had a Dream Come True," they also starred in a series of BBC sitcoms. These were Miami 7, LA 7, Hollywood 7 and Viva S Club and they featured the band as an aspiring group living in various American (and for the last series Spanish) locations trying to become famous. The group disbanded in 2003.
This was one of the biggest selling songs of the year in the UK. It won the 2001 "ITV Song Of The Year" in a huge TV phone poll. It also won the 2002 BRIT Award for Best Single.
This was written by S Club 7's regular songwriter, Simon Ellis, and Shep Solomon, who had written for Geri Halliwell.
