The lead single from Cher's 26th studio album is an electro-pop tune written and produced by the English DJ Paul Oakenfold. The song originally leaked online on October 20, 2012 and officially premiered a month later. It was officially released on June 18, 2013, the date Cher performed the track live on the finale of The Voice.
The song is a female-empowerment anthem in which Cher exclaims that she is "strong enough to rise above" as "this is a woman's world." She described the tune as a tribute to "strong women" around the globe.
Cher told Billboard magazine that this track "sings itself," adding that it only took about an hour to record her vocals for the track.
