Trivia

Interesting facts about Godzilla. By Songfacts.

Godzilla is a fictional sea monster of the Japanese cinema. Awakened by H-bomb tests and empowered by nuclear radiation, it wreaks havoc throughout Tokyo. During his three verses, Eminem likens his destructive tendencies to various beasts, including the aforementioned Godzilla. I can swallow a bottle of alcohol and I'll feel like Godzilla Better hit the deck like the card dealer Mathers compares his vicious behavior when drunk to the way Godzilla destroys everything in its path. In reality, he's been sober since 2008.

Eminem displays his speed rapping on the third verse. It takes him 31 seconds to get through the verse during which he raps 224 words containing 330 total syllables. That's 10.65 syllables per second and 7.23 words per second: This is much faster than Em's words-per-second Guinness World Record that he set on 2013's "Rap God," where he spat 6.46 words per second. The verse also outpaces Eminem's feature on Nicki Minaj's "Majesty" when he rapped 123 syllables in about 12 seconds, which is approx. 10.3 syllables per second.

The track features the late Juice WRLD on the hook, during which he channels the song's "monster" theme. The track was the rapper's first posthumous release since his death on December 8, 2019. Juice sadly passed away before being able to do a verse to go with his hook.
